Community Living Supports
Here at INI Group, we have the privilege of supporting individuals within their own homes and communities. The technical term for the assistance we provide is called: Community Living Supports. Community Living Supports are aimed at bringing an individual to their highest level of functionality in their own homes and in the community in which they live.
Our goal is to instill an empowering sense of purpose in the lives of those we have the privilege of supporting. We achieve this by constantly encouraging them to set realistic goals and actively assist with reaching them. We understand that every person is unique, and we model our support to everyones individual needs.
Supports include meal preparation, chores inside and outside the home (laundry, cleaning, etc.), grocery and home goods shopping, medication administration, transportation to appointments/ community activities/ stores/ family and friend’s homes, and equally important, encouraging their spirit and happiness.
No matter what level of care a person requires, there are always goals that can be set to help further their independence. Such tasks may include simply folding laundry, raking or bagging leaves during the fall, or assisting with a healthy home-made meal. Inclusion on daily tasks is paramount for their growth as a person and ensuring positive relationship development with staff.
